What is FSSAI?

FSSAI or Food safety and standard authority of India is the supreme body who is responsible for food safety in all over India. If you want to do any business which includes, manufactures, processes, stores, transports, distributes, or sells food products you must obtain an FSSAI Registration or License to operate legally.

3. Central FSSAI License

  • Required for turnover above ₹20 crores or for businesses operating in multiple states.
  • Mandatory for large manufacturers, 100% export units, importers, e-commerce food platforms, etc.
